Colombo: Ex-Sri Lankan president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled his nation last month amid protests, arrived in Thailand on Thursday, media reports said.
Rajapaksa is believed to have arrived in Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport around 8 p.m. (1300 GMT), via charter plane from Singapore's Seletar Airport, reports Daily Mirror.
Gotabaya Rajapaksa escaped Sri Lanka last month amid protests.
He even resigned from his post after escaping Sri Lanka.
The nation of 22 million people is struggling under a severe foreign exchange shortage that has limited essential imports of fuel, food and medicine, plunging the country into the worst economic crisis in decades.
