Kabul: At least three people died and 20 others were wounded as a bomb rocked Afghanistan's Paktia province on Friday, media reports said on Monday.
The blast occurred at the gate of a mosque in Dand Patna district.
The blast took place in the Kharoti residence of the district after hundreds of people were coming out of the mosque finishing the Friday prayer, reports Khaama Press.
Local residents told Khaama Press that those wounded have been dispatched to local hospitals in Samkani district and to the provincial hospital in the capital Gardiz while those in serious condition were sent to Kabul.
The motive behind the blast is still not known.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Head of information and culture directorate Khaliqyar Ahmadzai told reporters as quoted by Khaama Press that they have started investigations about the explosion.
