Osmam bin Laden Los Angeles: Osama bin Laden's older brother, Ibrahim bin Laden, has listed for sale a plush mansion in Los Angeles he owned for nearly four decades for a whopping $28 million, according to media reports.
Ibrahim, the older half-brother of Osama bin Laden, who was hunted and killed by the USA in Pakistan, has owned the property for nearly four decades, since 1983, property records show, reported New York Post.
The mansion is situated in the posh lower Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles and spans 7,100 square feet on over 2 acres of land, and has seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, the report said.
Bel Air (or Bel-Air) is a residential neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles, California, in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains.
According to the New York Post, Ibrahim bought the Mediterranean villa-style mansion for $1,653,000 at the time — which is now valued at $5.5 million after accounting for 38 years of inflation.
But, according to the listing he hasn’t occupied the home since the September 11 attacks. At the time he was vactioning abroad and chose to stay away fearing that he could be targeted for his surname.
The estate built in concrete and painted pink is just a buildings away from the Hotel Bel-Air, said the report.
The property has lost sheen but its swimming pool and spa appear well-maintained.
A the propert was rented out by Ibrahim, and by 2010, it was used to shoot pornographic movies, the report informed.
Ibrahim was one of 56 children born to Saudi Arabian construction tycoon Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, who had 22 wives.
Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was the patriarch of the bin Laden clan — a family with decades of business relations with Al Saud royals.
Back in the ’60s, the luxurious property was owned by golden age Hollywood producer Arthur Freed, who earned fame for productions “Singin’ in the Rain” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
