Dhaka: At least two children have died after a massive fire gutted a Rohingya refugee camp in Balukhali in Bangladesh's Palangkhali union of Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya upazila on Monday.
Several others suffered burn injuries, reports said.
The fire broke out around 4:10 pm.
The fire was bought under control at 11 pm by 10 fire tenders from Ukhiya, Ramu and Cox's Bazar.
According to Shamsud Douza Nayan, additional commissioner at Refugee, Relief and Repatriation Commission, 1,500-2,000 houses were completely burnt while 5,000-6,000 were burnt partially.
