Kabul: A government official was critically wounded and his driver killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Afghanistan's Kabul on Thursday morning.
According to local media reports, Jawid Wali, deputy of the coordination of advisers' sustained critical injuries while his driver Bahramuddin was killed.
The report was confirmed by Fazel Fazly, head of the administrative office of the President.
Quoting police, local Tolo News reported that one civilian was killed and two others were wounded in a blast targeting a car in Kabul city on Thursday morning.
The explosion took place around 8:10 am when a mine exploded and targeted a Corolla-model car in Chehel Sutoon area in PD7 of the national capital.
The wounded were rushed to the hospital for treatment, police said.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility so far.
