Kabul: A female journalist and her driver were killed during an attack by gunmen in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Thursday morning.
According to local media reports, gunmen attacked the car of Malalai Maiwand, a journalist at Enikass Radio and TV in Nangarhar, killing both the woman and her driver.
The attack took place around 7:10 am in Golaye Araban area of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital.
Confirming the news, Attaullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said that Maiwand was one her way to the office at the time of the attack.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed the attack so far.
