Beijing: China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Monday said a man, who was convicted in the kindergarten knife attack case in south China, was executed on Friday after his death sentence was approved, media reports said.
After re-examination, the SPC confirmed that defendant Qin Peng'an, a peasant from the village of Nanshan in Pingxiang, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, brought a kitchen knife to a kindergarten in the city on Jan. 4, 2017, and attacked children out of retaliation, Xinhua news agency of China reported.
Several children were injured in the attack.
Qin had escaped from the place after the attack.
He later surrendered to the police.
