Kabul: In an alleged incident of 'honour killing', a woman was fatally stabbed by her brother in Afghanistan's Faryab province, local Tolo News reported.
The incident took place on Wednesday in Andkhoy district of the province.
The deceased has been identified as Raana.
According to Sultan Mohammad Sanjar, the district governor, the woman has eloped with a man.
The couple had moved court to get married, which ordered the pair to go to a place of safety.
However, the killer tracked his sister and hacked her to death.
He has since been nabbed and is presently in custody, local police officials said.
