Contract type : Fixed-term contract, 12 months (CDD)

Start date : As soon as possible and subject to the availability of the successful candidate.

Location : Either at the association's head office in Chambéry, with the possibility of remote working up to 3 days a week, or 100% remote working in mainland France.

Salary : Based on salary scale and experience (https://www.cartong.org/en/get-involved/recruitment/salary-policy/)

Other advantages : Supplementary health insurance covered at 61% by CartONG; Provident scheme covered at 100%; Under discussion, the possibility of remote working from abroad for a few weeks a year.

The missions

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, your main tasks will include coordination, project management and communication with external partners. You will oversee the entire project, from defining objectives to budget management, as well as supervising technical teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Project management

• Establishing professional relationships with partners, gaining an in-depth understanding of partners’ needs and requirements, proposing appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate, supervise and monitor project activities.
• Act as a communication link between partners and internal teams and ensure team cohesion around the project.
• Ensure that CartONG services are provided to partners in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Ensure the administrative follow-up and reporting of projects, as well as their narrative and financial reporting.

Implementing information management projects

The project manager’s projects will not be limited to this, but he/she will have a more prominent role at CartONG in technical projects such as Excel/PowerBI dashboards, with the following responsibilities in particular:

• Carrying out diagnoses of information management needs
• Providing face-to-face and/or remote support to CartONG partners
• Designing and running training courses
• Designing information management systems and strategies (choice of technical solutions, documentation of procedures, etc.)
• Configuring data collection and analysis tools and documenting their use
• Monitoring technological developments and carrying out research (benchmarking, etc.).

Management

• You may be asked to manage one or more people, depending on your profile and your aptitude for management.

Support for CartONG’s associative activities

Profile required

Previous experience: 3 to 5 years’ professional experience in the humanitarian or development sector with at least two field experiences in different developing countries.

Language skills: Excellent written and spoken French and English.

Technical skills:

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects.
• Experience in needs assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, studies….
• Experience in monitoring/evaluation would be highly appreciated.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Experience (at least as a user) of mobile data collection tools (such as kobo, commcare, Survey CTO, etc.).

Cross-disciplinary skills:

• Appetence for technology and digital as a tool for transformation and impact.
• Proactivity, curiosity and autonomy.
• Analytical mind and ability to solve problems.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
