About the Role

Endeavor seeks a Research Associate to join its research team. The Associate will contribute to studies and data-driven projects that will inspire and inform founders, investors, corporates, philanthropies, and governments around the world. The ideal candidate will be passionate about research and data visualizations that deliver clear, compelling narratives about Endeavor’s mission to support high-impact entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities
Assist on research projects from data collection to publication. This is your chance to:
- Build in-depth knowledge on entrepreneurial companies and founders from around the world by gathering data, conducting outreach, and interviewing top entrepreneurs and investors about their challenges and perspectives.
- Join a team of researchers to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, and use creativity to collaborate with designers on visualizations and multimedia that bring our data to life.
- Uncover business dynamics and support strategies for entrepreneurship ecosystems in global markets and various sectors, while helping to build new research methodologies and products.
- Support a rigorous process of planning, drafting, and publishing research reports and data journalism projects.

Support research operations and departmental processes. This is your chance to:
- Coordinate research activities with international research assistants and interns to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data that is used for analysis.
- Support the team’s efforts to meet client deadlines, track project details, and improve efficiencies in our research processes.
- Assist business development such as researching and identifying high-potential partners that include major philanthropies, government agencies, and corporate sponsors.
- Coordinate project launch activities and promotions in collaboration with the MarComm department so that our work is featured in the press, utilized by policymakers, and actively sought after by investors and founders.

Requirements
Great candidates for this role will:
- Bring intellectual curiosity and the ability to distill large amounts of information.
- Have experience collecting, cleaning and analyzing data in Excel, and enjoy learning new analytical skills.
- Bring international experience and a familiarity with different cultures, and enjoy speaking with professionals from around the world
- Be a natural collaborator with strong organizational skills to work on multiple project priorities, meet deadlines, and exceed client expectations.
- Be an excellent writer for both academic and general audiences, with strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, economics, international policy, or a related field, with 1-2 years of research experience.
- Be familiar with or willing to learn SQL, Python, Illustrator, InDesign, Tableau, Flourish, and Canva.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the United States and must be based in the New York area.

- Competitive salary: The base salary for the Research Associate ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 with generous bonus opportunities. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
