State of Health Pakistan: Polio virus found in KP's environmental samples

Polio virus has been detected in the environmental samples collected from various districts of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, media reports said.
An official told Geo News that anti-polio campaign will be started in seven districts of the province after the confirmation of polio virus.
The anti-polio drive be carried out in Peshawar, Nowshera, Mohmand, Hangu, Khyber, Kohat and Charsadda from Monday.
According to the statement, polio vaccination will be administered to refugees in Pak-Afghan camps as well, reports Geo News.
As many as 14,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure safety of the polio team.
