Paris: The French Public Health Agency reported two new cases of monkeypox in the country on Monday.
France's first case was reported on May 20. The patient did not travel to any other country that had registered monkeypox cases recently.
The Public Health Agency noted that the three cases have not any direct link with people coming back from countries with confirmed monkeypox cases.
Information and alert messages have been sent to health professionals for a reinforced mandatory reporting system, the agency said.
