Beijing: The Luquan District in China's Shijiazhuang region recorded four new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Friday, media reports said.
All four cases live in a dormitory on a construction site in Luquan District and returned positive results following nucleic acid testing, reports Xinhua news agency.
The four were later confirmed as COVID-19 cases, said the district's anti-epidemic headquarters.
China is believed to be the country from where the disease originated.
Recently, Omicron variant of COVID_19 emerged, leaving nations across the globe alarmed.
