Lon Angeles: Fox Searchlight's The Shape of Water bagged the top honour of the Best Picture while Gary Oldman was judged the best actor (Darkest Hour) and Frances McDormand won for best actress (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) as the 90th Academy Awards were held at the star-studded Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The award ceremony was hosted by talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel for the second time in a row.
Oldman, who played Winston Churchill in the acclaimed Darkest Hour, was a favourite to win the award, as was McDormand, who essayed the role of a distraught mother in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Guillermo del Toro has won the best director award for the film The Shape Of Water, which has bagged the best picture award.
