Business Development Manager for the good cause in Bonn or Berlin

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn or Berlin, Germany.

Donations are crucial for Welthungerhilfe's fight against hunger and poverty. In your role, you will use your sales and marketing skills to approach wealthy donors, who can make a significant impact to the fight against hunger and poverty.

Your responsibilities

You will build donor impacting relationships with wealthy individuals by

• Developing concepts and measures that convince potential donors of our work and develop existing major donors
• Identifying prospects
• Developing convincing new offers for your target group in collaboration with our colleagues in Germany and abroad
• Building up a network of multipliers for acquisition purposes
• Approaching potential donors and convincing them of Welthungerhilfe's work
• Analysing data and donor feedback and drawing the right conclusions for further measures
• Evaluating and optimizing actions to maximize impact
• Observing trends in major donor fundraising and deriving innovative fundraising instruments

Your profile

• A university degree or a comparable degree
• Experience in acquiring and managing key accounts
• Creativity as well as an independent and pro-active style of work
• Very good manners and the ability to represent Welthungerhilfe
• Strong communication skills both in written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to travel
