REPORT TO: Assistant Research Manager

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time Contractual

LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan

JOB PURPOSE

The Research Associate is a program management and data analysis position based in Karachi, Pakistan that requires working closely with a research team. The Research Associate will work on the evaluation component of a large-scale public health program, particularly working on data-related components whilst providing support to other program components as well. This position requires quantitative and programming skills (in Stata and/or R). Committed to delivering on high quality reports with data analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with research team in planning and implementation of all phases of research and evaluation projects, including designing, collecting, compiling, and validating quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, producing charts, graphs, briefs, presentations, and reports that describe and interpret findings.
• Complete necessary documentation for IRB and other requirements for IRB.
• Ensure quality of collected data and reporting and solving issues as needed.
• Data Cleaning of household and other survey conducted under the project
• Write codes and Conduct data analysis using STATA or R and write descriptive quarterly reports.
• Hiring and supervision of staff required for data collection in the evaluation project
• Monitoring data management and complying with data security and management protocols.
• Attend in-person and virtual meetings to report progress and challenges.
• Flexible to work across different time zones for virtual meetings.
• Manage reporting and documentation for the PIs.
• Managing and training a team of data collectors,
• Ensuring collection of data at clinics
• Contributing to preparation of report being submitted to donors about phone survey

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Economics

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant research experience and data analysis

Required Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis using STATA or R
• Good listener and maintains accountability for their actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive in completing tasks and identifying gaps and needs
• Proficient in inclusive planning and participatory management skills, including excellent analysis and report-writing skills.
