SUB REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - HONG KONG
For more than 50 years, we've been campaigning for human rights, wherever justice, freedom and truth are denied. We've reshaped policies, challenged governments and taken corporations to task. And in doing so, we've changed thousands of lives for the better. Right now, we're creating a new kind of force for human rights, combining Amnesty's strength and reputation with the voices of grassroots activists across the world. Delivering world class content that connects with people individually, you'll help us to realise this potential.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Working closely with your peers in the regional office, you will work to achieve measurable human rights impact in the region through strategic development of campaign and communication materials that reflect and promote Amnesty International's goals, objectives and messages.

You will lead the Regional Office Communication Team to ensure that regional objectives, audience needs and priorities are reflected and implemented, where appropriate, at the global level. In addition, you will coordinate both English and Chinese language campaign and communication outputs and maintain global oversight over all communications from the regional office on all channels. Beyond that, you'll manage the Chinese language website and channels of Amnesty International, support and advise local sections and members on communications and content production appropriate to their target audiences and Amnesty's objectives.

ABOUT YOU:
An influential and experienced Communications Manager from the NGO or private sector, you'll have worked on regionally relevant digital platforms before and have the ability to deliver appropriate content across broadcast, digital, print and AV with a solid understanding of audience needs on each.

You will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of how communications can work in a campaigning organization to bring human rights change, including a demonstrated understanding of the role of different communication approaches, models and tools to advance campaign objectives for diverse audiences.

And it goes without saying that you'll have excellent writing and communication skills, in both a creative and factual context - conveying information in a simple but engaging way. Highly organised, you'll confidently juggle priorities, as well as those of the various teams in the region. But just as importantly, you'll show a genuine dedication to bringing change to human rights through effective communication. Fluent English and Chinese are essential.

ABOUT US:
Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 7 million people who campaign for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all.
