More than 2.6 million people vaccinated against coronavirus in Bangladesh

Dhaka: A total of 26,73,038 people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in Bangladesh within 18 days from February 7 till Wednesday (February 24).

Till Wednesday, 38,89,345 people have registered for vaccination. Among those vaccinated, 669 had side effects, according to a Department of Health press release.

The vaccination program is being conducted in the country every day from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.

It said, out of the total vaccinated, 17,46,132 were men and 9,26,906 were women.

So far, 60,740 people from Dhaka division, 7,860 people from Mymensingh division, 37,074 people from Chittagong division, 18,179 people from Rajshahi division, 16,612 people from Rangpur division, 24,838 people from Khulna division, 8,394 people from Barisal division and 8,288 people from Sylhet division have been vaccinated.

On Wednesday, 27,857 people were vaccinated in Dhaka metropolis. Of these, 18,993 are males and 9,834 are females.
