Quadri said the broker told her that she would have to sign a "no-objection certificate" declaring that if she faced any harassment from her neighbours because of her religion, the builder, the owner and the broker "would not be legally responsible".
"Many brokers refused to show me houses because I'm a Muslim. Many residents would also complain because of my religion. Once I was asked to move out within a week of moving in," media reports quoted Quadri as saying.
Within a week, the broker threatened to call the police and get her thrown out of the flat, she added.
Lawyer-activist Shehzad Poonawalla has filed a petition with National Commission for Minorities and National Human Rights Commission.
