Eight hostages were released from the captivity of Hamas on Thursday, confirmed the Israeli government.
Meanwhile, the temporary truce between Israel and Hamas members was extended for the seventh straight day which is scheduled to end on Friday (December 1).
Confirming the development, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu posted on X: "The Government of Israel embraces our 6 citizens who have returned to Israeli territory. Their families have been updated by the responsible authorities that they have returned to the country."

The released hostages were identified as Shani Goren (29), Nili Margalit (41), Ilana Gritzewsky Kimchi (30), Sapir Cohen (29), Bilal Ziyadne (18), Aisha Ziyadne (17), Mia Shem (21) and Amit Soussana (40).
Israel Defense Forces said: "IDF special forces and ISA forces are currently with the 6 released Israeli hostages inside Israel. They will undergo an initial medical assessment before being accompanied by IDF soldiers to hospitals, where they will be reunited with their families."
Meanwhile, 30 Palestinians were released from Israeli prisons in Damon, Megiddo, Ofer, Nafha, Ktzi’ot and Ramon on Thursday (November 30, 2023), reported CNN.
