Kabul: A blast targeted a vehicle belonging to an official from peace affairs, in Kabul on Monday morning.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, local media reports said quoting security officials.
The incident happened at around 7:20 am in the capital's Shaheed roundabout.
The improvised explosive device (IED) targetted a vehicle belonging to Khushnood Nabizada, head of the office of the state minister for peace affairs, Tolo News reported.
"Nabizada and two of his children were in the vehicle when the blast happened, but not one including his driver was hurt, his relatives said," the Tolo News report read.
Nabizada is the founder of the Khaama Press, a popular online news agency in Afghanistan.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
