Pyongyang: Citing UN reports, The New York Times has said that North Korea is aiding Syria in the manufacturing of chemical weapons.
According to the US daily, Pyongyang is sending acid-resistant tiles, valves and thermometers to Damascus.
The Syrian army have been accused of using chemical weapons in the past as well as in their recent attacks on civilians in eastern Ghouta, a suburb in the national capital.
According to the UN report, such a trade between two countries could spell disaster for others as North Korea will get cash to continue its missile programme and Syria will go on using chemical weapons.
It further stated that from 2012 to 2017, at least 40 previous unreported shipments were exchanged between the two troubled nations.
The US daily said that the UN report 'has not been publicly released', but, 'was reviewed by The New York Times'.
