Muscat (Xinhua/UNI) Sultanate of Oman on Monday expressed its "deep regret" that some oil facilities in Saudi Arabia were attacked.

The remarks were made in an official statement by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the statement, the Sultanate has asked the Special Envoy of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General to Yemen Martin Griffith to invite all the parties to the war in Yemen to the negotiating table to agree to end the conflict.

In the statement, the Sultanate declares its readiness to support peace in Yemen.

Houthi groups in Yemen claimed responsibility for attacks on Aramco oil production facilities in Saudi Arabia on Saturday and said they had used 10 drones.
