India committed to adhering to international food safety standards: JP Nadda

New Delhi, Sept 26 (Just Earth News): Attending the 20th session of FAO/WHO Coordinating Committee for Asia on Monday, India's Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said that the country is committed to adhering to international food safety standards.

"India committed to adhering to international food safety standards," he said.

Nadda also stressed on the importance of FSSAI, the government agency responsible for protection of public health, towards achieving this goal.

He also said that national and international food safety rules need harmony.

"There is a need for harmony between national and international food safety standards," Nadda said.
