5.5M earthquake hits close to Hawaii's Kilauea volcano

Honolulu: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale hit few kilometres  away from active Kilauea volcano in Hawaii on Sunday, as per United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre issued no tsunami warning following the earthquake.

As per the USGS website, the quake's epicentre was located at a depth of 1.1 km west-south-west (WSW) of the volcano.

The quake hit just 5 kms away from the volcano.

No casualty has been reported so far.
