Actor Jamie Foxx, who was hospitalised earlier this year, on Saturday, said he was on his way to return back to work.

In April, his daughter Corrine Foxx said he had experienced a "medical complication" but the family did not share details about his health issue, reports BBC.

Foxx shared a video on his Instagram page where he thanked his family for keeping details on the issue "airtight".

He assured his fans he was neither paralysed nor blind.

In his video, he said: "I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back."

He said he did not want his fans to see him "with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through".

"I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show," Foxx, who is best known for his comic roles, said.
