June 10 (Just Earth News) the UN Ocean Conference is taking place at UN headquarters in New York from 5 to 9 June 2017, coinciding with World Oceans Day (8 June). Co-chaired by Fiji and Sweden, the Conference aims to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.The Ocean Conference opens with a Fijian traditional welcome ceremony.
