Kabul: At least 14 civilians, including women and children, were killed in a blast that shook Afghanistan's Daykundi province on Tuesday morning.

According to the country's interior ministry, the blast took place in Kijran district.

The bomb targeted a civilian bus in Dasht-e-Sulaiman village.

At least seven women, five children and two men were killed in the blast, the interior ministry confirmed.

While the ministry said Taliban carried out the attack, the terrorist organisation is yet to comment on the same.

This is the second blast in the province in 2020.
