Over the past 40 years, Action Against Hunger has led a global movement that successfully reduced the proportion of hungry children by half. Collectively, the network provided lifesaving assistance to 21.2 million vulnerable people in nearly 50 countries in 2018. Action Against Hunger - USA, operates with a staff of 1,600 across eight countries, primarily in East Africa.
Under leadership of new Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Charles Owubah, the next CFO of Action Against Hunger - USA will play a critical role in a dynamic network on an exciting growth trajectory. The CFO for Action Against Hunger - USA will provide senior leadership, direction, strategy, vision, and financial integrity for the organization’s programs and projects throughout the world. Opportunities for the next CFO are the oversight of a diverse finance, logistics, and administrative staff, the establishment and improvement of sound financial, accounting, IT and logistics practices, and the cultivation of productive and positive relationships with colleagues within Action Against Hunger - USA and across the international network. To achieve this level of success the next CFO will be an experienced financial management leader, with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or a related field (CPA/MBA preferred). Experience working in an NGO and/or exposure to USAID funding and related compliance is necessary.
