Moscow (Sputnik/UNI) Terrorists attempted to attack Russia's Hmeimim airbase in Syria again on Thursday, all attacks were repelled, head of the Russian Defense Ministry’s center for Syrian reconciliation Maj. Gen. Viktor Kupchishin said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Kupchishin said that terrorists attempted to attack Russia's Hmeimim airbase in Syria using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and drones 12 times in April, adding that all attacks were repelled.
"On May 2, illegal armed groups made another attempt to shell the Hmeimim airbase," Kupchishin said at a briefing.
The head of the center noted that all the attacks are repelled, no Russian servicemen sustained injuries and there was no damage to the airbase facilities.
