New York, Apr 8 (Just Earth News): The United Nations on Fridaycondemned the attack in Stockholm, Sweden, and expressed hope that those responsible for the violence will be swiftly brought to justice.
“The United Nations stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Sweden,” Stéphane Dujarric, the Spokesman for the Secretary-General, told journalists in New York.
“Our sympathy goes to the families of the victims and all those affected and we wish the injured a prompt recovery,” Dujarric added.
According to media reports, a man ploughed a stolen truck into a crowd of pedestrians, killing a number of people.
