Kabul: At least 30 people died as a gold mine collapsed in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province on Sunday, media reports said.
The incident took place at around 11 am in Kohistan district when the workers were busy in mining, Nek Mohammad Nazari, spokesman for Badakhshan governor, told Tolo News of Afghanistan.
He said 15 others were hurt in the mishap.
The total number of people trapped inside the mine is still not known.
