About the role
This is a new role for the region, and key in furthering the Global Security Team's ability to support Amnesty operations worldwide. It provides an exciting opportunity to help shape our capabilities in the Americas, whilst working on a varied and challenging array of security projects.

Reporting to Amnesty's Head of Global Security, the Regional Security Manager (RSM) will ensure our processes in the Americas, to best support the region's needs, and contribute to furthering an effective security culture across all offices located there. The successful applicant will have trust in Amnesty's Global Security Team and be confident it operates both to ensure their safety and further their professional aims. The RSM will do this by developing tailored security procedures, delivering targets and engaging training to provide effective support to Amnesty's deployments by building strong working relationships with key staff across the organisation.

About you
You'll have extensive experience providing security support to the organisations throughout the Americas region, and the ability to apply this knowledge worldwide. Having operated in many different global settings and cultures, you will be familiar with the specific security needs of INGOs, and committed to Amnesty International's ideals. With a flexible and creative mind-set, you'll be able to ensure security solutions are tailored to specific needs.
