Summary of the Position

This is a new position which will complement the work of CGIAR’s Human Resources Community of Practice to strengthen gender equality and foster open and inclusive workspaces across CGIAR. The Business Partner will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to steer, coordinate and implement key elements of CGIAR’s 2019-2021 Business Plan. The Business Partner has a dual reporting line to the System Organization’s Director, Legal and Office Services and to the Convener of CGIAR’s HR Community of Practice to ensure effective development of the role’s work plan and management of operational deliverables. Broad areas of responsibility include supporting and/or stewarding:
the development of a fit-for-purpose CGIAR People Management Strategy designed to establish an innovative and integrated approach to human resource management across CGIAR;
effective processes that facilitate inclusive and collaborative approaches involving the relevant communities of practice, gender champions and other stakeholders, which results in the design of a CGIAR Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Framework, including generating strategic actionable insights to successfully embed diversity and inclusion in the workplace and design and coordinate training opportunities;
the development and coordination of various efforts involved in implementing policies, systems, tools and/or mechanisms that provide effective accountability structures in the areas of safeguarding; anti-bullying and harassment; whistle-blowing and whistle-blower protection; ethical conduct and management of grievances and disciplinary matters; and
the development of context-specific indicators to measure, collate, analyze and report on outputs and outcomes necessary to inform consultations on, and design of, people management and gender, diversity and inclusion strategies and frameworks.
Skills and Competences:

This position requires someone with strong project management skills and a track record of supporting successful implementation of gender equality, diversity and inclusion programs. It will require a strong aptitude for coaching, networking, and advocating across multiple stakeholders on sensitive topics. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and possess as a minimum:
An advanced university degree (masters or equivalent) in people management, organizational development, gender and diversity studies, social sciences or another relevant field
10 years’ experience in organizational leadership/strategic human resource management with a focus on integrating gender, diversity and inclusion strategies and practices in the workplace
Previous a project management experience involving convening and coordination of groups and processes in an international, multi-disciplinary or multi-cultural organization with multiple stakeholders
