Call for Experts for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System Strengthening

The Centre of Excellence for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Systems, housed at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), supports global efforts to strengthen CRVS systems. When countries maintain strong systems to register vital events such as births, deaths (and their causes), marriages and divorces, governments are equipped with real time statistical evidence to plan and deliver public services to the populations they serve. The Centre of Excellence supports CRVS system strengthening by collaborating with organizations and experts to facilitate access to information and expertise (including global standards, tools, research evidence, and good practice), with the purpose to make knowledge readily available for countries aiming to develop, strengthen, and scale-up their national civil registration systems and improve their vital statistics reporting.

DIRECTORY OF EXPERTS
In order to facilitate access to technical expertise and assistance for strengthening CRVS systems, the Centre of Excellence for CRVS Systems, has established a Directory of Experts that includes over 100 experts readily available to support CRVS system strengthening activities at country, regional and global levels. The Centre of Excellence, CRVS stakeholders and other global partners may draw upon the experts in this directory to request specific technical expertise, or offer research, capacity building or consultancy opportunities.
