Amnesty International's Global Fundraising and Engagement Department is looking to recruit an experienced Global Funding Manager, Crisis Response and Refugees, to work on a Major Gift Fundraising Appeal that is being developed. The role is a fixed-term contract for 18-months initially, based in London.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Amnesty International is developing a Major Gift Appeal to raise significant funds from philanthropists and trusts and foundations for an exciting new programme of work on Crisis Response and Refugees, called Be There. Be There will support people whose lives have been torn apart by conflict, on every step of their journey, and is the largest programme of its kind ever developed at Amnesty.

The Global Funding Manager will coordinate and manage fundraising efforts across the Amnesty movement to help secure approx. EUR 7 million annually for a five-year period. Working closely with the Secretariat and Amnesty Sections around the world, including Switzerland, USA and UK, you will develop and oversee a global fundraising strategy to maximise income for this programme of work and help to drive restricted income growth at Amnesty International.

The post holder will be a key liaison point between Programme, Fundraising, Communications and Finance colleagues on Be There. This will include advising on and tracking funding opportunities; developing proposals, reports and other fundraising content; monitoring budgets and activity plans; and supporting the development of systems and processes to help grow high-value fundraising.

ABOUT YOU:
You will have significant experience of major gift fundraising from high-value donors (philanthropists and trusts and foundations), preferably in an international context, and an in-depth understanding of what it takes to grow restricted income.

As Global Funding Manager for Be There, you will be a self-starter, with excellent problem-solving, planning and coordination skills. You will combine excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to try new approaches to help Amnesty International to make a greater impact on human rights. Your confidence in working with multiple stakeholders at any one time will enable you to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines in order to deliver and achieve maximum results.
