Fundraising and Donor Coordinator

The Centre for Conflict Resolution (CCR) is an independent non-governmental organisation (NGO), based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a pan-African vision. Over the past 50 years, it has worked to promote constructive, creative, and co-operative approaches to the resolution of conflicts and the reduction of violence in South Africa and Africa. CCR has produced ground-breaking research on African security and governance issues, conducted extensive capacity-building and training, and contributed to peace processes across the continent.

The Centre invites applications from suitable South African citizens or candidates with permanent residency in South Africa to fill the following position:

FUNDRAISING AND DONOR COORDINATOR

CCR's Communications and Outreach cluster aims to influence national and international debates on key policy issues, inform and educate opinion, involve the public in the Centre's work, and disseminate this work more widely through various means including its website and social media.

Key responsibilities:

• To coordinate CCR's fundraising and donor-related activities, including donor liaison, in close cooperation with the office of the Executive Director;
• To draft, and manage the submission of, funding proposals;
• To assist staff in ensuring compliance with funding agreements;
• To manage the preparation and timely submission of progress and project reports to donors;
• To develop and maintain CCR's donor database;
• To monitor and evaluate the outcomes of CCR's fundraising activities; and
• To contribute to managing the general administrative and financial requirements of the cluster.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Politics, International Relations, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field;
• Two to five years' experience in fundraising and drafting of funding proposals;
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English;
• Excellent presentation skills;
• Knowledge and experience of managing databases; and
• Computer literacy, i.e., Microsoft Office and the internet.

Advantages:

• Own network of national or international donors;
• Knowledge and experience of monitoring and evaluation (M&E);
• Experience of working in an NGO; and
• A driver's licence and own transport.
